Since 1986, HBW has been run for children aged 5-11 and has grown in size and popularity. For one week in August, activities, including Bible stories, crafts, games, singing and quizzes, are provided for over 500 children.
HBW is organised by volunteers made up of people from local churches.
Typically HBW runs on the first week of August, Monday to Friday. Each year there is a theme to help children explore stories in the bible and what it means to be a Christian. "King of the Castle" is the theme for 2008.
Help is needed from young people and adults who are able to give part or all of that week to HBW. It is a wonderful opportunity to bless the children of the community besides being great fun. There is also a need for people who would be willing to pledge their prayer support and financial assistance.
Each year help is needed in the following areas:
Tent leaders – we need last year’s leaders as well as new leaders to book the date NOW.
Tent Helpers
Please pray for us as we plan for HBW 2008. We need YOU to help us sow and to see God reap in the harvest amongst children and families in Bishop’s Stortford.
