St James has three halls that are available for hire by church groups, charities, volunteer groups, local community groups and parishioners. Two of the halls are in the St Barnabas Centre: the Main Hall and the Gathering Hall; the third is in the Emmaus Centre. The halls are not licensed for sale of alcohol, for public music and dancing or for public performances that require the sale of tickets at the door.
We welcome enquiries about booking any of the halls for meetings and seminars, church away-days, fund-raising events, christening parties, wedding receptions and private functions. Call the Parish Office on 01279 506753 between 9:30am and 12:30pm, Monday to Friday. All events must conclude, and the halls cleaned up, by 11pm. It may be possible to set up several hours before the start of a hire.
