Fellowship will be found at St. James in many different groups. They give the opportunity to learn more about our faith and form friendships which aren't easily made if you just come to church on a Sunday. Even if you stay for coffee after the 9.15am service you may find it hard to get to know people.
At a Fellowship group you have more time to really sit and talk to people, and get to know them. This gives a basis of trust so that when something is wrong you know there are people you can share the problem in confidence with, and experience the support and prayers of Christian friends, or alternatively know you have a group of friends who will gladly celebrate with you when something wonderful happens!
There are purely social based groups which enable you to meet new people and develop new friendships; home fellowship groups, which are safe places for you to explore and deepen your faith; and other groups which cater for people with different interests. Apart from the groups described below see also the Music, Prayer, Mother's Union and Alpha pages. At all these groups you will find fun, friendship, and a listening ear. Never feel lonely in a crowd!
