The clergy at St James see the help they are able to give to bereaved people as an important part of their ministry. Apart from helping to arrange the funeral service, they will also make time to visit and comfort those who are having to cope with the loss of a loved one. They are available and offer counselling after the funeral has taken place.
Everyone who lives in the parish of Thorley is entitled to a funeral at St James'. The clergy will gladly help with arranging the readings, prayers, hymns and funeral address. If the family wish, Holy Communion may also be arranged.
