St James' organises a special event every year for people who are new to the St James'. These are 'Meet the Church' occasions when, over snacks and drinks, newcomers get the chance to meet the clergy, the Church leadership and many others who are involved in some serving capacity.
An important aim of the event is to give newcomers some insight into the culture of St James', an understanding of our vision and the encouragement to get involved in the life of the church.
Everyone who fills in and returns a Welcome slip is sent a personal invitation to the Newcomers' evening but even if you have been in the church for a while and would like to know a bit more about the life of the church, then know that you are welcome to attend.
