Every year, the Church organises a Parish Weekend Away in October. It
is an opportunity to form new friendships in a beautiful environment with
people you never get the chance to know properly on a Sunday. It is also
a time for relaxation, reflection and spiritual renewal. The venue
is usually a warm and friendly house on the cliff tops at Overstrand (near
Cromer) on the North Norfolk coast.
The weekend consists of a stimulating programme for all age groups with
a few organised worship and teaching sessions. There is plenty of free
time to walk, talk, rest or explore local attractions. In recent years,
we have invited a team from St Andrew's in Chorleywood,
a church that has experienced much spiritual renewal in the recent past,
to lead the organised sessions.
Booking forms are available in the church and the Barn from the end of
February each year. In the past accommodation consisted of single and double rooms, and all
meals have been provided. In the past we have been blessed with a great mix of people
who have made each weekend different and special, so please consider
joining us on our next weekend away.
